How many idle hours are wasted away on Instagram? Which clever person was it who realised that all people really want to do is spend their time looking at faux-vintage, pretty photos? Hats off to that man. If you’re keen on fashion, it doesn’t get better than Instagram (Twitter please, sit down). Firsthand looks into upcoming collections, behind the scenes at photo shoots, peeking into designers studios… ah, what a life. Here are our favourite fashion Instagrammers.
Garance Doré is pure class, and hilarious to boot. Super casual and down to earth, with the added bonus of actually being a professional photographer. She seems to hang out with super cool people on an everyday basis but succumbs to starstruckedness just as often – look, she took a picture of Rihanna’s shoes.
Coco Rocha is the only one who can make Irish dancing look cool. Not that she uses her Instagram for that purpose – it’s more about behind the scenes at fashion shoots, dogs she comes across in the street (no, really), and lots of beautiful people. Le sigh.
Everything you suspected about working for a fashion magazine is true. They go to loads of parties, chill out with designers and a crapload of free stuff. Gah. If you can overcome your jealousy though, Elle UK takes you front row and backstage at fashion shows, press days and yes, flaunts freebies in your face.
For a fashion brand, Kate Spade posts an awful lot of photos of food. Not that we’re complaining, especially when they’re usually pink and pretty and adorned with lots of icing. You’ll get photos of New York restaurants, open-topped buses, summer flowers and plenty of polka dots with these feed.
Shooooesss. Sneak peaks of upcoming shoe designs, glimpses of Tabitha‘s own super style, celebrities she’s shod – it’s almost too much to take. Did we mention there are lots of shoes? Mmmm, shoes.
They have the cutest dog in the history of the world. His name is Charlie. Follow if only for him.
